Pretty cool arcade crawler with some amusing dialogue and great character art. It gives me a little bit of a Slayers vibe. Hoping to see the story continued someday.
I appreciate you taking the time to play! Slayers was definitely a major influence among other things. This was originally planned to be part 1 of a trilogy of short games, so hopefully I'll be able to find the time to continue the story someday.
Hello, I just cleared the goblin dungeon, (I think? I went past the door and when I got to the portal I only saw an option to leave). How should I proceed? I love the art style by the way and the subtle exposition/dropping of lore. However some of what is explained in the summary is not explained in game; a prologue could fix that.
The bar NPCs are amusing, would be fun if some of them changed over time/Chekov’s gun (the ‘shady’ Guy and the other cleric? Who’s suspicious of him, the drunk adventurer leaving vomit… though the latter blocked the exit for a bit for me).
I do think some things should have more tutorials such as controls (ie shift to run) and fighting (I’ve accidentally skipped turns pressing the right arrow key which can be frustrating). I also wish there was an option to skip the time consuming fighting animations— I do like them but they become tedious after a while. It would also be great if we could actually see enemies HP since I wasn’t sure how to scale my attacks in the beginning.
Thanks for taking the time to play my game and also for the constructive feedback. The fight with Lady Lamia is the end of the dungeon and also the end of the game.
I agree that a prologue would help a lot with fleshing out the 2 main characters, and I might touch on that in a future installment.
Also, I actually planned on creating a tutorial image for this page that explained the controls and totally forgot to make it once I started focusing my attention on creating the game, so that's something I can definitely add in the future.

I had a great time with this! The charge system is fresh. I really like the character art and was chuffed to see the superior Quintet font.
Thanks for playing! The charge system is one of my favorite parts of the game so it's great to hear you enjoyed it.
Did you hire Dam as an additional party member by any chance?
I didn't, made it thru with just Cheiki and Southpaw.
